If you subscribe to any online store email lists, you probably saw almost every store was having a big 4th of July sale last weekend. Emails announcing huge sales flooded my inbox, so I couldn’t help but browse for coastal décor ideas, especially on Pottery Barn’s website.
I have a weak spot for all things Pottery Barn and dearly miss perusing their mail catalog (I can’t have it delivered to the island). Now I have to satisfy my craving by browsing through their online store. And browse I did, and not just on Pottery Barn’s website, but on several of my favorites as you’ll see below.
This led me to wonder, what coastal décor pieces would I purchase if I was decorating our cottage with a coastal theme for the first time? After much browsing I came up with the top 10 coastal decor pieces I would want to include in my home.
This is one of the most beautiful faux coral pieces I have come across.
Mangrove trees are all over our island and are a key part of the ecosystem so this would add some local flavor to our cottage.
If you’ve lived in a tropical, humid climate, you know that everything rusts. So why not beat nature to the punch and incorporate this cute clock. Plus, I love the color aqua in coastal décor.
These would look adorable on a shelf full of easy beach reads.
Several years ago I bought a trio of antique glass bottles which add character to my home. I would undoubtedly purchase these again.
I love the rustic combination of reclaimed wood with the luster of the limpet shells.
Lanterns are a coastal décor must have and these are my absolute favorite.
I stumbled across this beautiful and unique piece.
Perfect for a coffee table or dining table centerpiece.
No coastal décor list would be complete without shells. The nautilus shell is on my current wish list.
