Coastal Home Tour
In: Home Decor
Last week we traveled to south Florida to celebrate our good friend’s birthday. Our friend graciously opened her home to us for a few days. It goes without saying the best thing about our visit was the excellent company, but staying in this gorgeous coastal home was icing on the (birthday) cake.
The house is situated on the intercostal, so the views are spectacular. You can sit at the kitchen table and gaze through the floor to ceiling windows and watch every type of boat pass by, from small speed boats to large yachts and everything in between. The light that pours in from these windows, which line the back of the house, is amazing. Everything feels light and airy.
The home décor definitely says coastal, but it’s not over done. You catch glimpses of coastal décor here and there with coral throw pillows, Peter Lik photographs of the ocean, and blue pops of color all around the home.
The plentiful colorful pieces of artwork and glass sculpture throughout the home give it a playful and youthful feel, yet still sophisticated. But perhaps my favorite aspect of this home, are the gorgeous crystal chandeliers that adorn nearly every room.
There is so much beauty and creativity to be found in this home, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do! Now enough of my yapping away, I’ll let the house speak for itself.
